Sarvam stands out in three areas central to sovereign AI in India: co-location, customisation and cost. It keeps all critical assets in India; builds proprietary foundation models that it can customise; and offers materially lower prices than comparable alternatives for large enterprise and public sector deployments. Sarvam has plans to build a foundation model with more than one trillion parameters from scratch in India. It expects to launch the model within six months for coding, cybersecurity, scientific research and simulation workloads
